The rich volcanic soil and climate in the Kintamani region (Bali), as well as the agricultural practices that are deeply connected with the traditional irrigation system (Subak) and philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, makes for high quality Indonesian green beans. This particular variant of Kintamani coffee delivers a rich mouthfeel of sweet citrus and chocolate, with lingering aftertaste. COFFEE PROCESSING Removing the fruit flesh with a machine is the first step in the washed process. Afterwards, the coffee beans are fermented in a water tank and washed to remove any remaining fruit flesh. The washed process brings out the bright and acidic flavours in the coffee with a clean aftertaste.
